Bicameral Commission of the Chamber of Accounts will deal with the complaint

Comisión Bicameral de la Cámara de Cuentas tratará denuncia

The Permanent Bicameral Commission of the Chamber of Accounts will address this week the situation that this organization is going through, after the complaint of alleged labor and sexual harassment against its president, Janel Andrés Ramírez.

This was reported by deputy Aquilino Serrata of the People’s Forcefrom the Santo Domingo Oeste municipality, who indicated that with more reason now, after the Attorney General’s Office appointed two special prosecutors to investigate the case.

“I who belong to the Permanent Commission of the Chamber of Accounts of the Deputies have been insisting on this issue. We will have a bicameral meeting this week, which is where we are working on two projects to merge it into one, one from Senator Faride Raful and the other from Felix Bautista, for the modification of Law 10-04 that created that body”he explained in the Solo News program of the journalist Miguel Montez.

Aquilino Serrata pointed out that several deputies of the aforementioned commission have been insistent that the issue be addressed, despite the fact that several legislators have expressed their opinions, “But we are the ones who have to deal with this issue of the Chamber of Accounts because things already They have gone too far,” he said.

The congressman, after favoring the resignation of the five members of the supervisory body, criticized the communication issued by the magistrates after the complaints, that “they are going to work unified, as a single body. It seems that they did not work as a single body, but they were chosen to work in a unified manner.”

His aspirations for mayor

Aquilino Serrata revealed that he will be the candidate of the People’s Force for Mayor of Santo Domingo Oeste and the safe mayor from the year 2024.

“Look at what the Perremeistas themselves say, which is an open secret, that not even the Perremeistas want the mayor. So much so that there are already three candidates from the Modern Revolutionary Party; two deputies and an official”, he pointed out.

The congressman assured that the VET occupies the number one position in SDO, since it has currently created 106 Middle Directorates, equivalent to what was an Intermediate Committee of the old party, and in its history this party only managed to have 78, and in the process of being sworn in they have another 28 and by the end of the year they hope to have 150.

The Mayor’s Management

Serrata said that the citizens of SDO have seen more than two lost years of the Perreme administration go by, without any work to exhibit and with no type of transparency. “Here in SDO, the Mayor’s Office is run like a little tavern.”

“Now we saw that the Minister of the Presidency, José Ignacio Paliza, gave 26 million pesos for the issue of some funeral homes and I ask myself and I ask the mayor and the councilors themselves, what have they done with that funeral home that started the last administration, located in the extension of 27 de Febrero in front of Residencial Loyola, what did they do, where more than one hundred million pesos have supposedly been invested?

The deputy, after assuring that the work was in the completion phase, deplored that SDO is the only municipality in the Dominican Republic that does not have a municipal funeral home to offer this service free of charge to its inhabitants in these sad and difficult times.
