The coordinator of the Social Policy Cabinet, Tony Pena, and the administrative ministers of the presidency, José Ignacio Paliza, and interior and police ministers, Jesús (Chú) Vásquez, began this Saturday, in the province of María Trinidad Sánchez, the support work for those affected by Hurricane Fiona after its passing through the eastern part of the country.
The officials arrived at the Olegario Tenares Fortress, in the municipality of Nagua, as representatives of the Executive Power in the area with several trucks full of construction material, food rations, high-cost medicines, and other supplies to be distributed among the population in conditions of social vulnerability through local authorities.

Officials revealed that with the initiative “Your home first.” launched this Saturday in the municipality of Nagua, it is projected to impact at least 320 families in the area in this first stage.

In this first intervention of the “First your home” program, the representatives of the Executive Power delivered 13 thousand zinc plates, 10 thousand meters of wood, three thousand food rations, 900 mattresses, among others.
