The Ministry of Health of Córdoba began with the application of the first dose of coronavirus vaccine, without previous shift, to young people between 12 and 17 years old that make up the risk group.
The official information details that the call for spontaneous inoculation reaches children and adolescents between 12 and 17 years old who present comorbidity and / or disability, who must present the corresponding certificate.
In the capital of Córdoba, vaccination is carried out in the Argentine Pavilion and Dining Room of the National University of Córdoba (UNC).
The national government had sent 74,760 doses of the Moderna vaccine for the immunization campaign for adolescents with comorbidities, which had begun on August 3 with shifts.
Local official estimates hold that the population likely to receive the vaccine is around 320,000 people, of which approximately 23% (74,000) presents comorbidities.
Of this estimated group of 74,000 adolescents, since vaccination began, only approximately 15% attended the vaccinations to receive the first dose.
With respect to the general data on immunization in the province, so far the 3,263,936 vaccines, of which 1,005,606 correspond to the second dose that completed the immunization schedule.
