La Araucanía: carabinero was shot in the chest

An unknown person shot a policeman this Saturday in the town of Inspector Fernández, in the commune of Victoria, region of La Araucanía. The projectile hit him in the chest, specifically in the collarbone area.

According to Radio Bio Bio, the incident occurred within the framework of a procedure for robbery with intimidation. Specifically, police officers met a group of strangers who would have stolen a truck.

In this context, a subject shot at the policeman, resulting in a wound to his chest. The official was taken to Victoria Hospital in serious condition, where he underwent surgery. According to records, he would later be transferred to the Carabineros Hospital, located in Santiago.

The presidential delegate from La Araucanía arrived at the Hospital de Victoria, Raul Allard Sotoand the regional prosecutor Miguel Angel Velazquez.
