The Attorney General’s Office announced that it appeared in the case of alleged corruption in the construction of the Sucre – Yamparáez dual carriageway. At the same time denied any request for arrest against any person implicated in the fact as stated by its official Rolando Cruz in an interview.
“According to the progress of the investigations, the collection of the relevant evidence will be proposed, not having required the arrest of any person”, says part of the statement.
Yesterday, at the conclusion of the hearing of the regional manager of the ABC of Chuquisaca, Hernán Palacios, the lawyer and public servant of the Attorney General’s Office, Rolando Cruz, pointed to Nina as the main person responsible for these irregularities and said that Henry Nina must be apprehended.
“In our opinion, I reiterate, knowing all the details of the process, we have followed up and obviously we are contributing to the investigative processes. It is fitting that Mr. Henry Nina has to be apprehended“, he told the media.
The institution in charge of Wilfredo Chávez clarified that Cruz is a “junior official not authorized” to speak on behalf of the Attorney General’s Office and remarked that the spokeswoman from Chuquisaca is the jurist and departmental director, Zulma Mariela Duran Sandoval.
Cruz is known for being part of the “justice driving committee.” Appeared at the Sucre Prosecutor’s Office during office hourson more than one occasion, to file a complaint against opposition leaders and another against coca grower leader Freddy Machicado.
