The emergency was attended by officials of the National Risk Management System and that the pertinent authorities carried out the damage assessment and the investigation of the causes of the deflagration of the oxygen cylinders.
Several oxygen cylinders exploded in a place located on the main avenue of La Atlántida, Catia La Mar parish in Vargas state, causing injuries to at least four people.
The deflagration occurred at the Mi Gas distributor, a refilling center for this gas used for medical consumption. The building was destroyed and reached the avenue, where vehicles were also damaged.
Videos posted on the Twitter account of the regional media La Verdad de Vargas show how fire departments are in the area to contain the sources of fire and small detonations that continued after the incident.

The three injured people were transferred to health centers to receive the respective care, but a fourth person remained inside the place with severe injuries due to the combustion of oxygen.

The former councilor of the Vargas municipality, Miguel Malliotakis, reported that three people have serious injuries and a fourth has minor injuries, while some passers-by were injured by the glass that came off due to the impact of the deflagration.
The Vice Minister for Risk Management and Civil Protection, Carlos Pérez, indicated that the emergency was attended by officials of the National Risk Management System and that the relevant authorities carried out the evaluation of the damage and the investigation of the causes.
