This Friday, the first ship loaded with raw material for fertilizers produced by the Petrochemical company of Venezuela (Pequiven) arrived in Colombia, for the reactivation of the Monómeros company.
This, after the National Government regained control of the petrochemical company, which was kidnapped during the management of Iván Duque.
The president of Pequiven, Pedro Tellechea, indicated that, in the next few hours, a new ship will arrive, in order to start all the work to guarantee the products for the farmers of the New Granada nation.
Likewise, the president of Pequiven expressed Venezuela’s commitment to support the Colombian agricultural sector and asserted that new ships will arrive in the coming days, in order to put the company into 100% operation.
“Count on the support of Monómeros to leverage the great agricultural project (…) Today it is the first ship, and we are acquiring more for Buenaventura and Barranquilla”, pointed out the president of Pequiven.
“We will not fail in the recovery of Monomers until 100% of their capacities are returned,” added the president of the Venezuelan petrochemical industry.
It should be remembered that this ship is from the Anzoátegui state, Venezuela, and arrived at the Barranquilla dock in Colombia, where the dredging of the space is carried out.
Last Wednesday, the Monomer workers presented a report, after carrying out an evaluation of the state of the petrochemical industry.
Petrochemical worker William Ortega asserted that after the illegal takeover, the company’s production went back two years.
