Students from a public school in the Federal District held today (23) a simulated vote in the electronic ballot box, in an action by the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) to familiarize young people with the electoral process.
Elementary school children, aged between 6 and 10, simulated a complete polling station, playing poll workers and voters in one of the school’s classrooms. During the week, they made their own version of the voter registration card that was used in identification when choosing fictitious candidates.
TSE servers explained the operation of the electronic voting machine and told its entire history, from its inception to the present day. They also gave tips on how to spot fake election news.
