The federal judge of La Plata Ernesto Kreplak enabled the judicial fair to advance in the processing of the file in which the “Buenos Aires judicial table” is investigated against trade unionists during the administration of María Eugenia Vidal in the province of Buenos Aires.
In adopting this decision, Kreplak assessed that “there are measures that must be carried out urgently” – according to judicial spokesmen – within the framework of the investigation opened from a complaint filed by the Federal Intelligence Agency (AFI) after the discovery of a video in which spies, businessmen and former officials of the provincial government of Vidal can be seen devising a strategy to achieve the imprisonment of union leaders.
The sources remarked that the weight of the file deserves to guarantee that there are no “delays” in the production of evidence that could “frustrate” the investigation and, therefore, the magistrate decided that “there is no margin to wait for the end of the judicial recess of January”.
What is seen in the recording is a meeting in June 2017 starring the former Minister of Labor of the Buenos Aires government, Marcelo Villegas; and the mayor of La Plata, Julio Garro, along with other former officials of the Vidal administration, spies and businessmen, at the Buenos Aires headquarters of Banco Provincia, a few meters from the Cabildo.
In that meeting, as recorded in the records, the participants spoke of provoking the unionists of the La Plata construction union to generate a reaction from them and then record them – “wire” them – and then denounce them for threats and achieve their imprisonment.
Today, the Buenos Aires justice raised the “evident connection” of this case and the one being processed in Comodoro Py for alleged illegal espionage maneuvers from the AFI of the Government of Mauricio Macri towards politicians, officials and social leaders.
The Federal Chamber of La Plata sent the federal judge of the city of Buenos Aires Marcelo Martínez De Giorgi a complaint filed against the Buenos Aires attorney, Julio Conte Grand, and the prosecutor Sebastián Scalera, among others, for alleged crimes committed in investigations against politicians, trade unionists and magistrates during the macrismo.
“I notice that there is an evident connection between what is denounced in this case and what is being investigated” in the case that Martínez De Giorgi is leading, “said the chambermaid from La Plata, Roberto Lemos Arias.
The complaint alludes to the alleged irregular initiation of “investigations in order to incline them in favor of their political interests and to persecute different political social actors, trade unionists, magistrates and officials.”
For this they would have used “the collaboration of illegal intelligence production carried out by agents of the Federal Intelligence Agency,” it was recalled in the text referring to the complaint.
