The General Service of Personal Identification (Segip) established this Monday the tolerance for a week for the mandatory presentation of the vaccine card against Covid-19 at the national level, and it will be required from January 10, said the departmental director from Santa Cruz Segip, Alpacino Mojica.
However, he clarified that the measure is applied in that region and he does not know if it is in force in the other departments of the country.
“This provision has been made by the General Director (Patricia Hermosa) so that all the regional directors of the country give a tolerance. In La Paz I don’t know if they accepted it, but we in Santa Cruz have accepted it and from the following week Decree 4641 will be enforced, ”Mojica said in contact with Página Siete Digital.
The regional authority of Santa Cruz argued that the population needs their identity card to be vaccinated, therefore, if the document is expired, they cannot receive the dose and that prevents them from carrying out their procedures.

However, he also assured that a large part of the population has their identification document thanks to the campaigns carried out with mobile units to pave the way for the collection of bonuses such as Juancito Pinto or the school breakfast.
Mojica anticipated that people who come in these days to obtain their identification document at the Segip offices must wear a mask and alcohol, in addition, social distancing will be controlled.
On December 23, the Government approved Supreme Decrees 4640 and 4641 and they have been in force since January 1.
The regulations require the presentation of the vaccination card to enter various public and private institutions, including banks, universities, cultural and entertainment centers, among others.
