The request for the substitution of a prison sentence for community work, for a person accused of the crime Against Sexual Freedom and Integrity in the modality of Aggravated Libidinous Acts. it was negada by the judge of guarantees after the Regional Prosecutor’s Office of Herrera, represented by the Prosecutor Norma Cigarruista, supported the reasons to maintain the main sentence.
At the compliance hearing, the Prosecutor argued that the defendant should not have the measure changed because it is a risk for the victim, his family and society in general.
After assessing the arguments of the prosecutor and the defense, the judge upheld the decision to comply with the sentence granted in the first instance by the judge.
The events occurred on October 2, 2018, in the village of Cerro Paja, district of Los Pozos, province of Herrera, when the sentenced man had been touching his stepdaughter since she was 9 years old all over her body.
