The massive leak of emails from the Joint Chiefs of Staff due to the work of hackers unleashed a wave of comments on social networks.
The information became visible on September 19 on Twitter with publications such as those from the account of journalist Juan Pablo Fernandez (@jpjuanjp), where he warned about the leak, which would have been carried out by the group of hacktivists #Gyacamaya. According to the platform for capturing and analyzing data from social networks socialtrack.cl, from Thursday at 00:00 on October 21 to Thursday 22 at 3:00 p.m., the information has gone viral until it has become a national trend with more than 28,000 mentions. The axes of the conversation are the Minister of Defense Maya Fernandez, the computer security of the State and speculations about a possible coordination prior to the social outbreak of 2019, among others.
The conversation on Twitter associated with the leak of data from the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Armed Forces exceeds 28,000 mentions, made by 9,600 unique authors, imposing itself on national trends since the night of September 21. Among the focuses of the conversation that has taken place on Twitter, Socialtrack identified: the situation of Minister Fernandez with 28%, speculations about a possible coordination behind the social outbreak 18.1%, and the PDI reports of 18 and 19 October 9.4%.
The users who have been in the conversation are mainly people from the right or opponents of the Government of President Gabriel Boric.
