The event called “exchange of successful government experiences” was convened by the Brújula Metropolitana civil association in the Alianza de Tranviarios auditorium, in the Doctores neighborhood of the Cuauhtémoc mayor’s office, where more than 300 supporters and morenista militants gathered.
The mayor of Iztapalapa was received with applause and she responded with handshakes and hugs to some attendees, however, it was with special guests such as Dolores Padierna, former candidate for mayor of Cuauhtémoc, as well as Iztapalapense deputies Martha Ávila and Maricela Zuñiga, with who had a greater exchange of words and took several photographs.
Brugada was the only speaker. Upon taking the microphone, the first thing he did was make it clear that his participation in this event was for social and not political purposes, since the objective was to share with the inhabitants of the Cuauhtémoc mayor’s office, all the work that has been carried out in Iztapalapa in terms of social and cultural programs and efficient management of resources.

She was interrupted with applause on more than 20 occasions, especially when she referred to the project of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, and also when she spoke of free parks, sports and cultural spaces in the demarcation.
He highlighted the work of the head of government in terms of sustainable mobility, as well as the investments for the construction of the Cablebús, the renovation of trolleybuses, RTP and bike lanes.
The mayor of Iztapalapa mentioned on different occasions the phrase “let the transformation continue”, which was accompanied by applause and cheers from “head of government!”.
“We are protagonists of this story of hope and struggle, and we should feel proud of everything that has been achieved in this fourth transformation, and we have to work hard to continue,” he said.

At the end of her speech of almost an hour, those present organized cheers, one of them was by a group of women from Cuauhtémoc and Iztapalapa, who chanted: “We are clear, for head of government, we have Brugada.”
Outside the auditorium, the Cuauhtemoc mayor’s office organized a fair for children and set up a wrestling ring to celebrate the wrestler’s day, using loudspeakers with loud music, a fact that annoyed those attending the Clara Brugada event.
The brunette recalled that this type of practice has already been experienced on different occasions.
“It reminded me of when (Miguel Ángel) Mancera, (Mauricio) Toledo, Dione Anguiano prevented us from using public space, but here we are in a union space, so instead of coming and trying to hinder this event, better than get to work and allow free expression,” he said.
In a brief interview at the end of the event, Clara Brugada denied that this event is an uncovering of the candidacy for the head of Government and that she plans to go to other mayors’ offices to offer similar conferences.
