The National Head of Emergency Rooms of the Social Security Fund (CSS), Idia Harris, revealed that, during this New Year’s weekend, there was an increase in cases of car accidents, motorcycles, alcohol intoxication pictures and food.
The doctor explained that, regarding the ambulance service, around 840 calls were received, of which half were sent to emergency rooms.
“The numbers increased 10% in some of the hospitals, care in others increased up to 30%,” he noted.
Regarding patients who suspect they have Covid-19, it revealed that saturation by swabs has also been reported, since they present respiratory symptoms.
