Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, Minister of Foreign Relations, affirmed today that Cuba will continue to change what must be changed, without giving an iota of its principles, or renouncing its aspirations for social justice.
In a message published on the social network Twitter, the Foreign Minister of the Greater Antilles added that it will be the Cubans who will decide the scope of the necessary transformations to carry the nation forward.

Miguel Díaz-Canel, first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and president of the Republic, in his speech at the closing of the VIII ordinary period of sessions of the IX Legislature of the National Assembly of People’s Power, stated that in the Plan of the Economy and the State Budget for this year are defined objectives that are of vital importance to face the problems that the country is going through, as well as to continue advancing in the creation of capacities and institutional environments that promote development in the medium long term.
He indicated that the distortions that undermine relations between state entities and the non-state sector must also be corrected.
“By continuing to improve internal trade, combining the different forms of ownership and management, progress should be made in the decentralization of powers to the municipalities; as well as in the strengthening of the local productive systems, the productive chains and the territorial development ”, specified the president.
