Adozona and Unibe sign pact for human capital

The Dominican Association of Free Zones (Adozona) and the Ibero-American University (Unibe) signed a collaboration agreement with the aim of promoting training initiatives that include all its members.

This begins with the Cluster of Medical and Pharmaceutical Devices, since Unibe has a concentration in this area within the Industrial Engineering career.

Both institutions pledged to work together to create training programs on topics that are relevant to the free trade zone sector. The signing of the agreement was led by José Manuel Torres, Executive Vice President of Adozona, and Dr. Loraine Amell Bogaert, Vice President of Linking and Internationalization, in the company of Dr. Vhyna Ortega Díaz, Academic Vice President of this university. The entities identified common interests to strengthen capacities in the different areas, as well as to make future professionals aware of all the job opportunities and growth niches that it has in the free zone sector.

José Manuel Torres stated that the agreement will be beneficial for the country, since it involves training human capital in areas that have the greatest potential for growth and generation of knowledge-intensive jobs.

What includes

“With this agreement we will be able to train people in specific areas that are in great demand in certain sectors, such as medical devices and pharmaceuticals, which means that graduates of these programs will also have a greater opportunity to access available jobs and Unibe trains high-quality bilingual professionals, English being the key to progress in this sector, ”said Torres.

On her side, Dr. Amell Bogaert highlighted: “We are very happy to be able to carry out this signature that brings us closer to the productive sector and more to the free zone that has so much potential and so much economic impact, generating so many jobs in the country. For us, this agreement is fundamental and of great benefit to both parties, because the sector needs well-trained human capital and we have the programs and the possibility of creating innumerable trainings tailored to the training needs ”.

Among the points of the agreement, the press was informed, are to create programs that develop skills to meet the needs of the free trade zone sector; promote the Unibe Internship Program among Adozona member companies and promote community service programs.
