Parliament approved the appointment of three new ambassadors

The National Assembly (AN) approved on Tuesday the designation of three new ambassadors of the country to the Algerian Republic, the Holy See and the United Nations Organization for Education, Science and Culture (Unesco).

In the plenary session, deputy Azucena Jaspe presented the report by the Foreign Policy Commission, through which the appointment of citizen Rodulfo Humberto Pérez Hernández, as Ambassador Representative of Venezuela to UNESCO, was proposed and approved.

Parliament also approved the appointment of John Baptist Arias Palacios as Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Venezuela to the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, after the presentation of the commission’s report by the legislator, Nosliw Rodríguez.

Likewise, the report proposed by deputy José Correa was approved, for the appointment of Ian Carlos Torres Parra, as Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Venezuela to the Holy See.

For the appointments, the parliamentarians evaluated the reports presented by the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, and it was also previously approved by the Permanent Commission of Foreign policy, Sovereignty and Integration of the National Assembly (AN)

Rodulfo Pérez was Minister of Education, president in charge of the National Center Foundation for the Improvement of Science Teaching (Cenamec), was director of the Educational Zone of the Aragua state.

Juan Arias was Minister of Industries and National Production, he was Deputy Minister for the development of Special Economic Zones. He served as Minister of Basic, Strategic and Socialist Industries. He is an economist, graduated from the Central University of Venezuela (UCV). He is specialized in the areas of statistics and data analysis for social sciences.
