Twelve days before the Regional and Municipal Elections, people who have not yet renewed their expired DNI, or requested a duplicate due to loss or theft, may do so until tomorrow, September 21 (in Lima and Callao) and until September 24 ( in Arequipa), in order to have the document in time for the elections on October 2. The director of Reniec Registry Services, Juan Carlos Castro Pinto, also responds if it can be paid with the expired DNI.
