The Cuban government expressed its solidarity with the people and Government of Mexico behind the earthquake of magnitude 7.7 that this Monday had its epicenter in the state of Michoacán and was perceptible in various areas of the Central American nation, including the capital. There are already two dead and at least 10 injured.
From his Twitter profile, the Cuban president Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez He conveyed condolences to the relatives of the, until then, the only deceased as a result of the earthquake, according to a report from the agency Latin Press (PL).

In turn, the embassy of the Island in Mexico reported that no Cuban resident in that nation had been affected by the earthquake of great intensity. Neither the diplomatic headquarters located in Mexico City, nor its consulates in various states of the country, registered misfortunes.
The mission staff in the interior and the capital were at the service of their compatriots, according to a note posted on the embassy’s Facebook profile.
According to the Mexican National Seismological Service, the epicenter of the tremor was located 59 kilometers south of Coalcomán, in the state of Michoacán, 10 kilometers deep, and shook Mexico City and at least 11 other central-western entities.
The new earthquake occurs on another September 19, the date that marks the record of two of the worst earthquakes that have hit that country, in 1985 and 2017; the first of them leaving more than 10,000 fatalities.
In fact, this occurred hours after the conclusion of a regular drill of preparation to face this type of phenomenon. Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador participated.
The Mexican president himself reported through his Twitter profile of the death of a person due to that event, due to the demolition of a fence in a shopping center in the municipality of Manzanillo, Colima.

The two deaths occurred in the port of Manzanillo, in Colima, a state in western Mexico, where there were also nine injured, while another was injured in Coalcomán, Michoacán.
Until 4:00 p.m. (local time) this Monday they had reported 217 aftershocks of the earthquake, the largest of them of 5.3 magnitude, according to the National Seismological Service of Mexico.
