The Minister of Labor and Employment Promotion, Alexander Salasruled on the first lady’s trip Lilia Paredes together with President Pedro Castillo to participate in the United Nations General Assembly held in New York, United States.
The Executive spokesman defended Paredes Navarro’s decision to accompany her husband despite the fact that she has a tax request to prevent her from leaving the country for 36 months.
Salas Zegarra stressed that the invitation to the head of state included her spouse, so she decided to attend. Likewise, she stated that there is no danger that she will not return to the country and will give a message with her actions.
“She has traveled because the invitation they make to the president is an invitation in which his wife can be included. I believe that the theme of the first lady is linked to a field of being able to look… when she returns she will show that nobody has to worry if she accompanies the president to official activities”, he told RPP.
There is no exit impediment for Lilia Paredes
Alejandro Salas recalled that, although there is a tax request, Paredes Navarro does not have an order preventing her from leaving the country. In this sense, she stressed that she is authorized to travel abroad with her husband.
Likewise, he recalled that the hearing of his case was suspended on September 5 after the legal defense of Jose Nenil MedinaMayor of Anguía, filed a challenge against Judge Raúl Justiniano. At the moment, there is no new date to carry out said diligence.
“As has been well stated, she does not have any type of impediment or judicial restriction and, therefore, her civil rights are enabled. Hopefully, when the president and the first lady return, it can be shown that she has no bad intention of not attending the calls of justice.”, he asserted.
