Two weeks after Gabriel Boric won the presidential elections, 54% of the population had positive feelings about his future government and 46% had negative feelings.
According to the latest Pulso Ciudadano survey, among the positive feelings, the future government of Gabriel Boric and Approve Dignity generates: Hope 40.6%, Optimism 31.2%, Illusion 20.1%, Solidarity 17.6%, Alegría 12 , 6%, Happiness 12.2% and Satisfaction 11.8%.
The negative feelings it would generate are: Insecurity 35.1%, Fear 17.5%, Anguish 14.1%, Hopelessness 11.0%, Pessimism 10.2%, Frustration 8.9% and Sadness 7.5%.
Despite the negativity, according to the survey, 51.6% of the population evaluates Gabriel Boric’s performance as President Elect in the first week as Very Good / Good. And 29.1% evaluate their acting as regular and 19.2% as bad / very bad.
The main challenges that the next Government of Gabriel Boric will have to take on, according to the results of the study, are: Pensions 49%, Crime 49% and Health 48.1%.
Pulso Ciudadano also observed that 49.7% of the population has the expectation that the future Government of Gabriel Boric will be Very good / good, while pointing out that 26.5% have the expectation that it will be regular and 23.8% have the expectation that it will be bad / very bad.
Meanwhile, it maintains that 33.4% of the population considers that Chile is moving in the right direction, considering the political, economic, value and social scenario. about 13 points more, in relation to the measurement of November (19.7%).
The other side of the coin is that of President Sebastián Piñera, who ends the year with an approval of 21.8%, just over five points more, of course, in relation to the approval obtained in the second half of November ( 16.5%).
The survey also addressed trust in the work of the Constitutional Convention, concern and information regarding Covid-19, the main problems of the country and the total income that a household has; where sometimes it is not enough to cover the monthly expenses. Regarding the latter, 48.9% indicate that it is just enough and 13.0% indicate that with the income they have it allows them to save in the month.
