He mentioned that the measure no longer makes sense, so the new Decree will soon be signed by President Cortizo.
The Minister of Housing and Territorial Planning (MIVIOT), Rogelio Paredes Robles, referred this Monday morning to the signing of the decree that authorizes the evictions of tenants and the invasions that take place in some areas of the country.
“Decree 411, which is the one that modifies 145 that talks about no evictions, no evictions and that protection that tenants have over the landlord so that they are not evicted due to the pandemic, that Decree has to be dismantled and we have sent the president and to the request for a new Decree to nullify that protection”; Paredes Robles said.
He mentioned that it has already been shown that there are tenants who pretend to be “alive” and after the lifting of the state of emergency, the measure no longer makes sense, so the new Decree will soon be signed by President Cortizo.
INVASIONS
Paredes Robles pointed out that the owners of the invaded lands “have to act” and not let time pass before they can later evict the property from the land.
“We have an office that we have reinforced with an organization where the Police, Immigration, the National Mortgage Bank (BHN), UABR and all those involved have to do with coordinating and preventing this from continuing to proliferate,” he emphasized.
