Claude Joseph says Luis Abinader understands nothing about the Haitian crisis

Claude Joseph dice Luis Abinader no entiende nada de la crisis haitiana

SANTO DOMINGO.-Former Haitian Prime Minister Claude Joseph once again attacked President Luis Abinader whom he called “selfish and opportunistic” and someone who does not understand the Haitian crisis.

Through the social network Twitter, Joseph, who in recent months has criticized the Dominican Republic, said that he rejects the approach of President Luis Abinader.

Claude Joseph’s pronouncement comes after yesterday andhe Dominican president warned in Washington that Haiti is experiencing a kind of “low intensity Civil War”for which he reiterated his call to the international community, and especially to the OAS, to intervene in Haiti, a country he described as a threat to the region, especially to the Dominican Republic.

“I do not approve of @luisabinader’s totally selfish and opportunistic approaches to the Haiti case. Abinader understands nothing about the Haitian crisis and is only taking advantage of the absence of leadership from the current puppet Prime Minister of Haiti to pursue his own agenda,” said Claude Joseph.

According to the Haitian politician, “The Dominican Head of State could never behave as the spokesman for Haiti and the President of the Island when I assumed the functions of Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of my country.”

Last week, the Dominican president instructed the Director of Immigration to prevent Claude Joseph from entering the country, as well as 12 gang leaders.

On that occasion, Joseph said that this decision was “an honor” for him.
