Deputy Jorge Brítez is attacked while leading a demonstration

A group of citizens mobilized today against the administration of Mayor Miguel Prieto, and deputy Jorge Brítez also participated in the force measure.

Brítez denounced through social networks that he was attacked by municipal guards while he was demonstrating at the CDE. The incident occurred this Sunday morning during protests in front of the Municipality of the aforementioned city.

The legislator affirmed that he entered the Commune property to ask for the communal chief and that at that moment he was attacked by municipal Order and Security officials.

“They were among 50 to attack me by order of the head of Security of the Municipality, William Florentín” he wrote on his Facebook account along with a photograph showing the injuries he suffered.

Through a video recorded by the people present at the scene, you can see his departure from the Municipality’s premises and how he was taken out by an agent of the National Police.

For his part, Miguel Prieto also used his Facebook profile to comment that it was supposedly Brítez who entered the place with arrogance wanting to illegally collect a sum of money from the municipality. “Since we did not agree to their requests and we take care of taxpayers’ money, they treat us like bandits. It would be a bandit if he paid them that money at the cost of citizenship. Find another way of doing politics and stop proposing violence” he wrote.
