A young man was seriously injured after a criminal shot him when he tried to steal his motorcycle.
The crime occurred in the vicinity of the Carlos Vaz Ferreira park, on the corner of Pedro Arispe and Martín Ignacio Harretche. The young man was traveling in that area aboard his high-capacity motorcycle (a Benelli 300) when two criminals approached him.
One of the thieves threatened him while demanding the delivery of the motorcycle, but the owner of the motorcycle objected. As a result of this, a fight took place that ended with the firing of the weapon that one of the two involved had. The bullet hit the victim, who was immediately transferred to a health center.
The young man remains in the Intensive Care Center (CTI) and his health is serious, according to the Montevideo Police. Agents from zone IV of the Montevideo Police Headquarters carry out the investigation of the case and look for the assailants.
