During the day, more than 500 people visited the website where the auction was made pBut none of them made an offer for the establishment, so the sale did not materialize.
Faced with this situation, the company in charge of the establishment – in case of maintaining interest in finishing off the hotel – has two options, as explained by Narvaezbid’s marketing manager, Federico Failace.
On the one hand, the company can wait to receive an offer after the day of the auction. This is because the online auction company invites bidders to bid after the auction day in case someone did not arrive on time to participate in the event.
In the event that a proposal arrives in the next few days, Narvaezbid will send it to the hotel owners so that they can define whether they accept it or not.
On the other hand –and as a long-term option–, the company can re-publish the property on the website of the auction company but this time with a new base price; lower than the one chosen the previous time.
Asked about the possibility of a new Las Olas auction, Failace said that it depends on the owners. In the event that it materializes, a date cannot yet be determined: “It can be published in the next 15 days, and close the auction a few weeks later”, estimated the marketing manager of Narvaezbid.

While defining what to do regarding the sale of the establishment, the situation remains as it is today. This means that society is not dissolved, but it also means that the hotel keeps its doors closed to the public.
As Failace told Coffee & Business, this is a decision of the corporate group because it is a low season period. However, Las Olas is fully operational. And this is how whoever bids for it could receive it: “All the conditions are given; qualifications, services and anything that is needed to operate”, said the marketing manager of Narvaezbid.
The possibility of sale
Asked about the time it takes to sell a product at auction, Failace said that depends on the type of asset. For the particular case of real estate, he pointed out that the time is usually longer than in other products.
