Authorities reported 33 new cases of covid-19 on #16Sep

The community cases of covid-19 are distributed as follows: six in Zulia, six in Vargas, four in Yaracuy, four in Bolívar, four in Caracas, two in Trujillo, two in Barinas and one in Mérida. Two of the imported cases, two came from Panama and two from Turkey


The health authorities reported this Friday, September 16, the detection of 33 new cases of covid-19 in the country, of which 29 were of community transmission and four were imported. This information was released by the Minister of Communication, freddy nanezwho added that no deaths were reported.

According to Ñañez, the community cases are distributed as follows: six in Zulia, six in Vargas, four in Yaracuy, four in Bolívar, four in Caracas, two in Trujillo, two in Barinas and one in Mérida.

Two of the imported cases, two came from Panama and two from Turkey.

According to the statistics of the national authorities, a total of 544,090 confirmed cases of coronavirus are recorded throughout the national territory; of which 1,554 are active and 236,727 people have already recovered.

Of the active cases, 820 patients are asymptomatic, 578 with mild acute respiratory failure, 121 with moderate acute respiratory failure, and 35 in intensive care.

This September 16 there was no report of deaths due to covid-19; so the death toll in the country from coronavirus remains at 5,809 people.
