The candidate for the Presidency of the Republic by the PDT, Ciro Gomes, participated in a campaign act in the city of Trindade, metropolitan region of Goiânia. União Brasil’s candidate for president, Soraya Thronicke (União Brasil), campaigned for the Alecrim street market and street vendor, in Natal. Another promise of the candidate is that those who earn up to five minimum wages will no longer pay income tax.

The candidate for the Presidency of the Republic by the PSTU, Vera Lucia, defended the reduction of the working day to 30 hours a week, in an online debate with unionists and activist of social movements from the Central Union and Popular (CSP) – Conlutas. “We advocate reducing the working day to 6 hours [30 horas semanais]. This would allow the creation of another work shift, employing more people, sharing among all the work necessary for the country”, he said. “We defend an immediate end to the precariousness of work. All workers must have a formal contract, job stability, right to vacation, thirteenth and retirement. Companies that do not comply with labor laws and lay off workers en masse must be expropriated, leaving them under the control of workers,” he added.
