The senator for the National Party, Sebastián Da Silva, shared an image on his Twitter account this Saturday in which a group of firefighters can be seen raising their hands celebrating the rain, in the midst of the fire crisis in recent days .
“The best photo of the day !!!”, the image reads, and the legislator added four applause emojis and a Uruguayan flag, as if to infer that it is a group of firefighters fighting fires in our country.
However, the image rather corresponds to firefighters from Argentina, who work in that country fighting hundreds of outbreaks in various provinces that, like Uruguay, are experiencing a severe drought.
Nor is it a photo of the day on Saturday: in fact, it can be found published on the portal The Voice of Cataratas, who uploaded it to its website on December 30 with the headline: “Rain, relief and a moving image of the heroes of Sampedra.”
The Argentinian portal headlines.com.ar He released it on the same date explaining that the group of volunteer firefighters celebrated the rain next to National Route 14, in front of the Yaguaroundi Reserve, in the Bello Horizonte neighborhood, in the province of Misiones.
