Venezuela condemns new US threats against the country

The Vice Minister for North America, Carlos Ron, condemned the new threats from the Government of the United States (USA) to intensify sanctions against Venezuela if the dialogue with the Venezuelan opposition in Mexico is not resumed.

«The undersecretary @WHAAsstSecty launches insolent threats to Venezuela: if we do not do what they want, they will apply new measures to harm the population. They will remain sunk in their failure! Venezuela is a free country that will not give in to the pressure of any extortionist », Ron wrote in his account on the social network Twitter.

The Under Secretary of State for USABrian Nichols, indicated that they will intensify the sanctions and exhaustive measures against Venezuela if the dialogue in Mexico with the opposition is not resumed.

“In his speech before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Nichols admitted that the kidnapping of the diplomat Alex Saab and the Emtrasur plane held in Argentina are part of his aggression against Venezuela,” revealed the deputy minister for North America.

Ron specified that “Nichols was forced to account for his defeat and admit before the Senate that his strategy did not work” and that today more governments in the world recognize the president Nicholas Maduro.

Given this, he indicated that in the coming days he will denounce this new aggression before the General Assembly of the United Nations, refers the AVN portal.
