Lambayeque: Subject raped his relative and gave him birth control pills

The Mixed Provincial Prosecutor’s Office of La Victoria managed to declare the preventive detention measure against the accused José Pedro Gastelo López founded, for a period of nine months, for the alleged crime of rapeto the detriment of his eleven-year-old relative.

The accused is attributed to have sexually abused his relative from April 2021 to 2022, in his grandmother’s house located in La Victoria, being that the aggressor provided him with contraceptive pills and kept him threatened with death if he told his relatives.

As a result of the harassment, the minor is in a state of pregnancy for five months, facts that were reported to the Police.

The accused was arrested on September 14 before a preliminary arrest warrant issued by the Sixth Preparatory Investigation Court of Chiclayo.

In a hearing, the provincial prosecutor Paul Quesquén Liza, supported the well-founded and serious elements of conviction that would link the accused to the crime. That the probable prognosis of the sentence at the end of the process would be life imprisonment and there is a risk of escape.
