The Institute for the Training and Use of Human Resources (Ifarhu), began today, January 1, 2022, the General Scholarship Contest, for primary, pre-secondary, average students with a minimum average of 4.5, while for careers university, graduate and master’s degrees, the minimum academic index must be 2.00.
Through the institution’s website, https://www.ifarhuconcurso.gob.pa/ the participants will be able to enter their data, the Ifarhu confirmed that the contestants must be Panamanians or foreigners with more than 10 years of residing in the country , verified by certification issued by the National Migration Service Panama.
In the General Scholarships or Contest Scholarships, the amount that the student receives per quarter varies according to the academic degree he / she is studying. For elementary students the quarterly benefit will be $ 135; While for premedia it is $ 165 and in average, the payment is $ 195.
It is estimated that the process of verification of results to know the selected ones, will be that of January 16, 2022 onwards.
For 2019, before the onset of the pandemic and virtual classes, 79 thousand students applied; While last year the record number was 180 registered in the first phase (the virtual one), with 70 thousand being chosen.
