“After being examined by his personal physician, Dr. Jairo H. Roa Buitrago, the doctor certified that President Gustavo Petro has ‘acute non-obstructive bronchitis’. He is maintained with outpatient treatment », says the statement from the Casa de Nariño.
In addition, the letter specifies that a specialist recommended the president “avoid changes in temperature and speak in public for a long time.”
According to Colombian media, this statement is known after of which Petro canceled its scheduled agenda for this Friday in Cartagena and Valledupar, although he had already suspended some of his activities since Thursday due to a bad cough.
It should be remembered that the president must be in optimal conditions to travel to New York on Sunday, September 18, for his participation in the 77th General Assembly of the United Nations (UN).
