As of this month, beneficiaries who receive Auxílio Brasil on Mondays will be able to move the money from the previous Saturday. The change was announced today (16) by Caixa Econômica Federal, which manages payments.
In a note, the bank clarified that this situation becomes permanent, not being an exception for the September installment. This month, beneficiaries with a Social Registration Number (NIS) ending in 1 and 6, who would originally receive it on Mondays, will be able to move the money from the previous Saturday.
With the change, the payment of the September installment will begin tomorrow (17) for beneficiaries with NIS end 1. This is the second installment with a minimum amount of R$ 600, which will be in force until December, according to the constitutional amendment promulgated in July by the National Congress.
The constitutional amendment also authorized the inclusion of 2.2 million families in Auxílio Brasil. As a result, the total number of beneficiaries served by the program rose to 20.2 million this semester from this month.
The beneficiary will be able to consult information about the payment dates, the benefit amount and the composition of the installments in two applications: Auxílio Brasil, developed for the social program, and the Caixa Tem application, used to monitor the bank’s digital savings accounts.
In January, the minimum amount of Auxílio Brasil will return to R$ 400, unless a new proposal to amend the Constitution is approved. Traditionally, Auxílio Brasil dates follow the Bolsa Família model, which paid beneficiaries on the last ten working days of the month. However, one ordinance issued in early August anticipated payment of the August installment for the 9th to 22nd.
