The General Council of the National Electoral Institute (INE) unanimously approved the continuation of the mandate revocation process, after the Recess Commission of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation (SCJN) and the Electoral Tribunal of the Judicial Power of the Federation (TEPJF) ordered him to do so, after agreeing to suspend it under the argument of budget insufficiency.
In an extraordinary session, the presiding counselor Lorenzo Córdova affirmed that although they will seek to make adjustments to allocate resources to the revocation, he insisted that the constitutional attributions of the institute or its obligations, including labor obligations, will not be jeopardized.
