Sinaproc launched a warning of foresight until January 4

As part of the prevention measures, the Civil Protection System (Sinaproc) gave this Saturday, January 1, a warning of prevention due to winds, swells and rip currents over the Panamanian Caribbean.

Through a statement, the institution announced that the maritime zones that will be affected are those of the Eastern Caribbean: the Guna Yala region and the Costa Arriba of Colón; that will have waves between 1.5 and 3.0 meters high.

In the Central Caribbean, which includes Costa Abajo de Colón and Veraguas Norte, the waves will be between 1.0 to 3.0 meters high; while in the Western Caribbean, which includes Bocas Del Toro and the Ngäbe Buglé region, the waves will be between 1.0 and 2.5 meters high.

The Directorate of Hydrometeorology of the Electric Transmission Company SA (Etesa) confirmed that a greater intensification of isolated winds from the north is expected, over the Caribbean Sea, producing storm surges.
