The Nicaraguan activist and wife of the political prisoner Félix Maradiaga, Berta Valle, met on September 15 with Juan Fernández Trigo, Secretary of State for Ibero-American and Caribbean affairs at the Spanish Foreign Ministry, as reported by the Spanish official through from your Twitter account.
“I have received Berta Valle, wife of former presidential candidate Félix Maradiaga, imprisoned in Nicaragua, to whom I have reiterated Spain’s commitment to respect human rights,” Fernández disclosed.
For his part, Valle continued on Twitter the publication of the Spanish official, affirming that his journey is to achieve the freedom of the more than 200 prisoners who are in Daniel Ortega’s prisons and to stop the violations of elementary rights in the Central American country.

Last Tuesday, one day before the MEPs held a session to denounce the Sandinista repression against the Catholic Church, Berta Valle met with politicians of different party tendencies in the European Parliament to whom she explained the crisis that Nicaragua is going through due to the onslaught of Daniel Ortega against opposition voices, including bishops and priests.

Since Maradiaga’s kidnapping, his wife has not stopped demanding and demanding his freedom, just like the other hostages of conscience.
