The Cicpc announced this Wednesday the arrest of Joel Enrique Tovar Hernández (56), who is identified as responsible for the murder by mechanical suffocation of Hender Iván Méndez Duarte (18).
The scientific police highlighted in their report that this homicide occurred on March 11 in Palo Verde, El Laberinto sector, 10th street, Sucre municipality, Miranda state.
Hender rented at Joel’s residence, but they frequently had arguments. And precisely that March 11 they had a problem of coexistence. That’s when Joel lunged at Hender and strangled him. He then altered the scene where the event occurred to make it look like Hender died of natural causes.
After interviewing witnesses and reviewing the site, the cicpc proceeded to arrest Joel in Bello Campo, Chacao (Miranda). The subject was handed over to the 35th Prosecutor’s Office of the Public Ministry.
