The National Forestry Corporation (Conaf), through its Digital Information System for Operations Control (SIDCO), reported a total of 43 forest fires registered at the national level, of which 15 are active, 26 controlled and two extinguished.
Among the relevant forest fires registered in the national territory, the so-called “Pampa Idahue” is active in the O’Higgins region, with 25 hectares (ha) consumed, this specifically in the commune of Coltauco.
Meanwhile, in the Maule region, controlled is the forest fire called “Cerro Quilipin”, with a consumed area of 19.6 ha, in the commune of Yerbas Buenas.
On the other hand, in the Ñuble region, active is the fire called “El Rosario”, with 2,153 has consumed in the Quillón commune, with 10 homes destroyed.
In turn, in La Araucanía, active is the fire called “El Almendro 2”, with a consumed area of 12,567 ha in the communes of Los Sauces and Angol.
The fire called “Chocombe” is also active, consuming 130 ha in the Ercilla commune.
In the Los Lagos region, the fire called “La Vara – South Side” is under control, with a consumed area of 14.15 ha, in the commune of Puerto Montt.
