Novo’s candidate for the Presidency of the Republic, Felipe D’Avila, on his second day of campaigning in Paraná, visited today (14th) the company Cocamar and representatives of the Council of Women Entrepreneurs and the Board of Directors of the Commercial and Business Association of Maringá .
“What works very well here in Maringá and we need to take it to the rest of Brazil is the spirit of cooperation. Cooperativism is fundamental for the small farmer to have access to cutting-edge technology, marketing and storage of their products. Another thing is to take Embrapas’ cutting-edge research technology to small producers,” said the candidate.
Another public policy aimed at small rural landowners in the party’s government plan is the planting of trees on degraded land. “We have 55 million hectares of degraded land in Brazil. Our focus is 3 million hectares of degraded land to plant trees, and Brazil will be the first carbon neutral nation among the 15 major economic powers. This is essential to attract foreign investment to resume job and income generation”, said the presidential candidate.
