The two sources of forest fires that were registered this Tuesday in the mountains of the Traslasierra Valley and in the north of Cordoba were “contained” this morning, and two people were arrested, accused of starting fires intentionally, reported from the Department of Climate Risk Management, Catastrophes and Civil Protection of the province.
According to judicial sources, the arrests correspond to two people, one 53 years old and the other 61, identified as allegedly responsible for starting the fire in the Traslasierra area.
Meanwhile, official sources reported that specialized personnel from several Volunteer Fire Departments and the Technical Team for Action against Catastrophes (ETAC) worked during the night of this Tuesday to contain the fires in the La Majadilla area, in the Tulumba department in the north of the province. , which managed to be controlled.
The fire that was registered in the area of mountains between San Pedro and Chancaní, in the Cordovan departments of San Javier and Pocho del Valle de Traslasierra, is also in the same situation and on guard of ashes.
Meanwhile, during the early hours of this morning the lookout planes will fly over to relieve the state of the situation of all the hot zones, the sources indicated. Likewise, it was reaffirmed that the state of alert remains in force in the province due to the extreme risk of fires due to high temperatures, strong winds and low percentage of humidity.
