The Finance and Budget Commission, chaired by Senator Miguel Fulgencio Rodríguez, held a virtual meeting, together with other commissions, in order to analyze various points that were part of the agenda.
In relation to the draft Law “On the reform and modernization of the National Police”, the issue was analyzed jointly with legislators, advisors and representatives of the Commissions for Constitutional Affairs, Accounts and Control and Legislation. Senator Fidel Zavala, one of the planners, participated in the presentation of this document, who offered the details of the document and the progress achieved after the work meetings with various instances.
The legislative proposal did not obtain an opinion and the definition of a final position was postponed. On the other hand, during the meeting, the bill “Establishing transparency and publicity measures on the cost structure and fuel billing prices” was also studied. For the treatment of this point, Denis Lichi, president of Petropar, participated online, as well as members of the Legislation and Accounts and Control Commission.
This document, presented by Senators Stephan Rasmussen, Fidel Zavala, Georgia Arrúa, Patrick Kemper, Amado Florentín, Arnaldo Franco, Carlos Filizzola, Esperanza Martínez, Hugo Richer, Jorge Querey, Sixto Pereira and Miguel Fulgencio Rodríguez, was approved with modifications.
POSTPONED
The following documents were postponed for a more detailed analysis:
-Decree No. 7604/22 “By which the draft Law No. 6952/2022 ‘That modifies articles 2 and 4 of Law No. 6706/2021 ‘That establishes a transitory regime of contribution to the Institute of Social Security (IPS) aimed at companies dedicated to the gastronomic, event, hotel, tourism and entertainment sectors throughout the territory of the Republic, as a result of the declaration of a health emergency, established by Law No. 6524/2020, due to of Covid-19 or Coronavirus.
-Proposed Law “That grants an ex gratia pension in favor of the master craftswoman, Digna López Vda. of Narvaja”.
