Luanda, Jan 1 (Prensa Latina) The Angola-Cuba Friendship Association (ASAC) today congratulated the people of that Caribbean nation for preserving the historical legacy of its revolution, which it considered a world heritage site.
As this January 1 marks the 63rd anniversary of the triumph, the ASAC takes the opportunity to entertain the intrepid Cuban people, “for having preserved this historical legacy, patrimony of humanity,” said the organization.
In a message sent to the island’s embassy in Luanda, the secretary general of the ASAC, Fernando Jaime, also reiterated the infinite desire to strengthen ties of brotherhood that have always characterized the relations of friendship with the largest of the Antilles.
In the opinion of the Association, nothing justifies the maintenance of the economic, financial and commercial blockade of the United States government against Cuba.
In January of last year, the ASAC asked the US president, Joe Biden, to normalize diplomatic relations with the island, in a text delivered in this capital to the legation of the northern power, with reference number 01 / GSG-ASAC / 2021.
Under the conditions of the Covid-19, the celebrations here for the anniversary of the Cuban revolution generated a wide flow of information through social networks, including texts, photos and videos, among them, the one shared by the ASAC, which in 2021 was a of the Angolan organizations awarded with the commemorative seal “Anniversary 60 of ICAP” (Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples).
The second secretary of the Caribbean legation, Yandri Peña, explained to Prensa Latina that the stamp in question was granted exceptionally and for the only time to entities from different parts of the world with an outstanding record of solidarity with their country and that they have contributed to strengthen friendship between different countries.
