President Pedro Castillo swore in new ministers for the PCM tonight, as announced by the Presidency through its social networks. The ceremony took place in the Cáceres Hall of the Government Palace at 10:40 PM.
To begin with, César Landa was appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs, replacing the resigning Miguel Rodríguez Mackay. Landa returns to the Foreign Ministry after serving in the same position from February 1 to August 5 of this year, under the orders of Prime Minister Aníbal Torres.
Andrés Alencastre resigned from the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation, for which President Castillo swore in Jenny Patricia Ocampo Escalante, who will take office in a sensitive portfolio due to the issue of the purchase of urea for national farmers.
Ocampo Escalante is a collegiate Agricultural Engineer, with a master’s degree in Public Management, postgraduate courses in Environmental Management and improvement of rainfed crops, a diploma in Development of Creative Industries; Formulation of public investment projects and trained in Good Practices of Corporate Environmental Management – BGE of the Profitable Environmental Management Program.
