The Ministry of Health reduced the placement of the third dose from six to five months for vulnerable populations, the elderly, and people aged 50 to 59 years.
From Monday, January 3, 2022, people between 50 and 59 years old will be able to apply the third dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
Given the spread of the omicron variant, which is already transmitted by the community in Ecuador, the Ministry of Health reduced from six to five months the placement of the third dose for vulnerable populations, the elderly, and people between 50 and 59 years of age.

People who meet the requirements cited above should approach any of the 1,900 health centers that the Ministry has throughout the country.
