“We need to review and update the founding statutes of our political movement with a view to the future and the construction of the Bolivarian Revolution,” said the Secretary General of the JPSUV, Grecia Colmenares, this Monday, at the celebration of the 14th Anniversary of the JPSUV, from the Teresa Carreño Theater in Caracas.
In this context, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, specified: “Update everything that needs to be updated, the Revolution has to be permanent change, permanent improvement.”

On the other hand, Colmenares pointed out that “the gift of the ‘Antonio José de Sucre’s Golden Pen’ represents what Sucre means for Venezuelans and for the youth. He is the greatest reference we have as a strong, intelligent, disciplined young man, who from a very early age decided to give everything for the freedom of Venezuela”.

“This pen that you president, Nicolás Maduro, has just given us to the Venezuelan youth, is to write history, the present and the future, with the glories of the golden letters that the Homeland deserves,” he said.
He also stressed that Antonio José de Sucre is the ideal that all young people must follow to become an integral militant, a completely upright young man to decisively face the challenge of building and carrying out the Bolivarian Revolution.
Finally, the president pointed out that “the youth of the PSUV must be the vanguard in the fight for a new morality, a new republican, Bolivarian, honesty, transparency, and humility ethic.”
During a press conference last week, the first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, recalled that this September 12 is the anniversary of the youth of this political organization.
“The youth of the PSUV celebrates 14 years, I always give the JPSUV as an example the day that Commander Chávez handed them the sword of the Father of the Nation, our Bolívar,” he said.

“There is a current out there, led by Miguel Henrique Otero, who wants to bury Bolívar so that people do not remember him, of course Miguel Henrique Otero is not here to bury anyone, this hatred against Father Bolívar is a pity,” he said.
