The hearing against the retired colonel lasted more than five hours Benjamin Nunez, pointed out of murder of three young people in Chocho, department of Sucre, on July 25.
In the midst of the legal proceeding, the Attorney General’s Office charged the retired officer with the crimes of aggravated homicide, concealment, alteration or destruction of evidentiary material and unjust deprivation of liberty, and requested his imprisonment in a prison center.

For his part, the guarantee control judge of Bogotá who handles the case decided suspend the hearing and announced that next Wednesday around 2:30 pm the decision will be known on whether or not to impose an insurance measure against Núñez.
It should be remembered that the colonel was a fugitive from justice and surrendered last Friday in Mexico. Later, he did not accept the charges and assured that he “would seek a rapprochement with the Prosecutor for a possible negotiation.
If found guilty, the uniformed could pay more than 50 years in prison.
