Justice detected a previous attempt to assassinate Cristina Kirchner

New images of Sabag Montiel reveal how he moved days before the attack on Cristina

The little cups of sugar that Sabag Montiel’s girlfriend was carrying, mixed among the militancy.

A series of messages extracted from the cell phone of Brenda Uliarte, charged with the attempted murder of Vice President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, allowed the justice system to detect that the same group of people had previously tried to assassinate the former president twice..

The information came from the cell phone of the girlfriend of Fernando Sabag Montiel, the man who tried to shoot Fernández de Kirchner in the head on September 1 when he was greeting the militants who had come to show their support near his house, in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Recoleta.

Sources of the investigation consulted by this agency confirmed that the messages give an account of an assassination attempt that occurred on August 27, during the night in which the Vice President spoke to the militancy stationed in the area of Juncal and Uruguay streets, where the building where the head of the Senate lives is located.

“No, it’s not that she realizes, the issue is that there is a C5N camera, and there are few people, and people are leaving, and that is the moment, now it is late, that is, it is 12 o’clock and she She left at that time, and it was at that time, that is, the stage was with her because they would have followed her,” says one of the messages that Uliarte received from Sabag Montiel.

“Do you understand? Then we are going to see on TV to see what happened because when she got in, they followed her and it should have been there,” says another message detected by the justice system.

In another communication, Sabag Montiel tells Uliarte: “No, I already got inside and the stage, the amphitheater was taken out. I touched (the governor of Buenos Aires) Axel Kicillof on the back and he got into a Toyota Etios, eh, and she left, a quilombo. She’s upstairs but I don’t think she’ll come out, so that’s it, leave, I’m going there, stay there. Don’t bring anything.”

The information coincides with that of a video published last week by the news channel C5N where it is seen that on August 27 Sabag Montiel was camouflaged among the protesters as if he were a seller of sugared snowflakes and managed to get within meters of the governor. from the province of Buenos Aires.

Based on the new information included in the file, federal judge María Eugenia Capuchetti re-imposed this Monday the summary secrecy in the case for the assassination attempt against Fernández de Kirchner, after the content was included in the file as key evidence. of Brenda Uliarte’s cell phone, Sabag Montiel’s girlfriend, accused of the same act.

“Her phone is very forceful,” a source from the investigation told Télam who, without revealing details, assured that she confirmed her participation in the attempt to assassinate the former president, while assuring that it is a material that places her as an active participant in different groups of “heaters”.

In the last few hours, the newspaper Página/12 had revealed that Uliarte’s Xioami Note 9 cell phone found phrases like “We have to generate facts, not protests” and “enough to go around bitching, we have to throw Molotov cocktails at La Rosada”.

Another fact that aroused the interest of the researchers was Uliarte’s active participation in Telegram groups with radical ideas and, of course, outside the law. The names of these Telegram groups will be kept secret for fear that their publication could generate a following, sources said.

“There is an even more violent underworld than those expressions that become public through social networks”, synthesized a source of the investigation in dialogue with this agency.

After receiving all the information, the magistrate returned to order the summary secrecy in the file, so it is not ruled out that in the next few hours test measures will be carried out, the advance of which could make them fail.

Although the reasons for reinstating secrecy in the case are unknown, the first time that measure was ordered, the justice system ordered Uliarte’s arrest after verifying that he had been at the scene of the incident and that he knew in advance that the aggressor had, by except in his house, a Bersa pistol, with which he had been photographed.

The appearance of new elements in the file could alter the plans of the court, which over the weekend was working on the indictments of Uliarte and Sabag Montiel, the man who tried to assassinate Fernández de Kirchner on September 1.

At this time, all the parties involved in the case were wondering if Judge Capuchetti would advance with the prosecutions and then continue with the investigation of the new evidence or if she would expand the investigations of the accused to show them the new evidentiary material.

One of the discussions that take place in the file, in which the prosecutor Carlos Rívolo also intervenes, is what the roles of each of the two defendants were and they did also have the collaboration of more people.

The investigators with whom this agency was able to dialogue pointed out in recent days that Uliarte’s role would not be exactly what he wanted to raise in his investigation when he said that what his boyfriend did seemed “aberrant” and that he was only in the vicinity of the vice president’s house because she went to accompany him.

On Friday, in addition, justice received a first report from the Directorate of Judicial Assistance in Complex Crimes and Organized Crime Judicial Power of the Nation (Dajudeco) on the incoming and outgoing calls of the phones of the accused.

Télam was able to find out from reliable sources that A line of investigation leads to the hypothesis that Sabag Montiel was carrying a telephone on the day of the incident that would not be his “main line”, an idea that was strengthened after disposable material and telephone casings were found during the second raid on his house. cell phones, as well as a hard drive.

Another of the questions that appeared in the investigation has to do with the “secure folder” that Uliarte had on his cell phone: sources in the case confirmed that it was finally opened and that there were records of whatsapp calls and the line of the accused.

On Friday, Judge Capuchetti had visited the facilities of the Airport Security Police (PSA) where they showed her how they were working with the cell phones from which they were entrusted to extract information.

In the background is, for now, the investigative line that conducts the “containment environment” of the aggressors: there would appear the sellers of sugar flakes (“los copitos”) that were shown on television with Uliarte before she was arrested.

The sources of the investigation indicated that there appears, under suspicion, Gabriel Nicolás Carrizo, the referent of “los copitos”, who would record intense communications with Sabag Muntiel during the month prior to the attempted attack and a member of that group who frequently spoke with Uliarte.

There are other people in frequent dialogue with the defendants who are also under the scrutiny of the investigators, among whom are a man and a woman who would have tried to help Uliarte hide, according to what this agency was able to reconstruct.
