A few days ago, the National Plenary of Fuerza Renovadora met, and after the meeting it issued a statement in which it expresses its immense concern about the “lack of responses to the serious social, labor, economic and public security situation that falls on huge sectors of the Uruguayan society, the increase in the cost of living and the attack on public companies and the justice system”.
It reaffirms the commitment to carry out all actions to reverse this reality “always contributing with respect for institutions and democracy.”
Fuerza Renovadora welcomed the initiative of the president of the Broad Front, Fernando Pereira, to summon the presidents of all the political parties “in defense of the institutionality and against the hate speeches that do so much damage to democratic coexistence.”
Truth, justice, memory and reparation
The sector reaffirms its inalienable commitment to truth, justice, memory and reparation for a healthy society, for the events that occurred in the framework of the past civic-military dictatorship.
On the other hand, it supports all the opening actions of the Broad Front towards society, as well as the elaboration of the political-programmatic proposal for the 2025-2030 period, promoting broad participation.
The sector does not rule out presenting its own presidential candidacy.
