Nothing like meeting again and what better than doing it at a real party. After two years without being realized, the mythical Eighteen Years Carnival of Recoleta is back to position itself as an unmissable panorama of the northern area of Santiago, bringing together an important part of the cultural diversity that makes up the territory and that is one of the main characteristics of the commune.
The eighth version of this meeting of culture and traditions will be a festival for the whole family that will have four days between September 16 and 19 at the Leonel Sanchez de Recoleta Municipal Stadiumlocated in Recoleta Avenue No. 3005.
On the spot, the mayor of Recoleta, Daniel Jadueannounced the return of the event after two years of absence: “We are happy to resume the Recoleta Dieciochero Carnival, because we need to meet again, enjoy and dance all together. We have thought of this celebration of national holidays as a time to share with the family, enjoy the richness of our food, our customs and have fun in a space that will have all the health and safety measures”.
This year we will celebrate Chile with a varied program of talents and styles. Featured artists from across the country such as The Ramblers, Flor de Rap, Sonora Tommy Rey, Claws of Love, Turtle Combo, Viking 5 and Block 8 along with representatives of roots, pop and urban sound, such as Evelyn Cornejo, Araceli Cantora, Rap Flower and Akira The stages will light up. In addition, who will open and close all the days is DJ No!known as the Permanent Fonda DJ and as a common name on the cumbia circuit and social events.
Not only the best music will be present in this return of the Recoleta Dieciochero Carnival, because this edition will also offer activities for boys and girls, typical games, crafts, a first-class gastronomic variety and more surprises.
Regarding the protection and integrity of the space, the Municipality of Recoleta has arranged care measures, both for the attending community and for the respect and harmony of the public space: clean points for collecting waste and recycling, as well as collection organizations for transfer waste and encourage public participation in such actions. The meeting will also have the support of Carabineros de Chile and Municipal Security.
From 1:00 p.m. the venue will open its doors to live four days full of shows, activities and stands arranged throughout the day, to give a total closure at 02:00 am.
